Yama Dwitiya/Dwitheeya:

Every month poojas are done on Bharani Nakshatra day and special pujas are held on 'Yama Dwitiya', the second day after Diwali festival.

It is believed that on this day Lord Yama, visits the house of his sister Yamuna Devi for a lunch.

Lord Yama promised his sister that who ever offer prayers on Yama Dwitiya day would not go to Yamaloka and they would be get rid of all misery and distress.
