Papulaveedu or Paapiledu Bhairaveswara Swamy and Sarvamangala Temple is an ancient temple located in the thick Nallamalla forest region.
This ancient temple was built around 1214 A.D. and is present at a distance of about 5 km from the village of Burjupalli, very close to Mundlapadu (Mandal), Giddalur town in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh.
Many renovation works are performed in recent years for this historic temple.
The temple is at a distance of around 15 kms from Giddalur town.
You can find several God statues like Bharani, Veerabhadra, Ganapathi, Bharaiveswara and Sarvamangala. The temple is surrounded by apeaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
Any time of the year is perfect to visit Paapiledu temple. However, many local people from nearby places like Mundlapadu,
Bhurujapalli and Giddalur come here every year to celebrate Karthika Pournami and Maha Shivratri with great fervor.
The main language spoken in this region is Telugu. Other languages like Hindi and English is also understood by the local people.
